If you are not sure whether you are entitled or not, please feel free to come and speak to Sarah or Becky. A form will be given around the middle of February to allow you to share this code with us.
Free-Entitlement
A reminder for parents of those children who are due to receive their free entitlement from January 2022. You will need to do an eligibility check before 1st December 2021 if you think you will be eligible for 30 hours. If you are not sure whether you are entitled or not, please feel free to come and speak to Sarah or Becky. A form will be given out in the upcoming weeks to allow you to share this code with us.
School Transitions
Primary school places will announced a little later this year due to the Easter Bank Holiday. You should receive a notification of your application by email on 17th April 2023. We will place a list on the table in the entrance way and once you know what school your child is going to, please write this next to your child’s name so we can arrange to send their transition documents over.
If your child will be leaving us to go to Nursery class/school, could you also please let us know so we can send their documents over.
Additional Services Charges (3 & 4 year old funded children only)
As you are all aware we have introduced an additional service charge to children aged 3 & 4 year olds accessing funded hours. This is to ensure that the standard of childcare provided is maintained and continually improved, and so that we can continue to attract staff of a high quality to work for us. We try and keep these costs to a minimum however, inflationary forces outside our control are impacting heavily on the cost of running the business this year. The fee for existing families will be 75p per funded hour and for new families this fee will be £1.50 per funded hour. This will then be reviewed next year.
Parents Evening
We plan on holding a Parents evening during the Spring Term for each child. These will be W/C 13th March and 20th March 2023. You will get the opportunity to look through their Learning Journey file and talk with your child’s key worker. If you do not want a face-to-face appointment, you can opt to have a telephone appointment to discuss your child’s development.
We will be sending a letter out nearer the time with further information.
Clothing
Please can we ask that you keep your child’s bag re-stocked with a full set of clothes. If you could take their bag home every week to replenish and get them stocked up for the following week particularly the children who are currently toilet training.
Q-bell
Please can we remind you that we are still continuing to use the Q-bell system for dropping off and picking up your child. If you would like to add additional carers, then we will need their name, telephone number and email address in order for us to send them a link for them to download the app themselves. We have noticed since returning back to nursery after the Christmas closure, we have had to remind several parents/carers to use the app. If you need us to send you the link again, please ask Sarah or Becky and we will do this for you.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to those who have emailed over photographs of yourselves for our family display in the room. Very much appreciated!
Could we please ask for pictures of how you travel to nursery, for example car, walk, bus etc this is to link in with our current theme ‘Transport’.
