Autumn Term Dates:
Monday 5th September to Friday 16th December 2022October Half Term
For those who are fully funded or attend term time, the October half term will be wc 24th October 2022 (1 week) Your child will not attend if they are fully funded or attend the usual half days as pre-agreed when your child started for this week, if they are on a term-time contract. Children will then return from wc 31st October and will attend until Friday 16th December 2022, when funding finishes for the Christmas period. This year’s break is 3 weeks for funded children, so your child will be absent from wc Monday 19th December 2022 and return from wc 9th January 2023. If your child is term time, they will return from wc Tuesday 3rd January 2023. If your school holidays are different to these, please let us know.
Nursery Closures
If your child attends nursery all year round, please note the following closure dates over the next term. Nursery will be closed for a whole week wc Monday 26th December 2022 and re-open at 7:30am on Tuesday 3rd January 2023. If you still have holiday entitlement remaining, you are welcome to use this to cover the closure week, but please book this in with us to ensure you get the discount.
Concept Photography
The photographer will be returning to nursery on Thursday 10th November 2022 for individual and sibling photos. There will be some Christmas themed photos. If your child/children attend nursery on a Thursday they will automatically be taken for their photograph by a member of staff in their room. If your child does not attend on Thursdays, we will be booking appointments nearer to the time for you to bring your child in for their photograph to be taken.
Busy Bees Pantomime Trip
Once again this year, Busy Bees will be attending the Pantomime at Oldham Coliseum on Wednesday 7th December 2022. This years panto is Robin Hood. We will be sending permission letters out in the coming weeks, so please return ASAP to secure your child’s place on the trip.
Christmas Dates for your Diary:
- wc Monday 5th December – Christmas Jumper Week (ALL children can wear Christmas tops or jumpers during their days in that week -donations welcome towards Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day Appeal)
- Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th December – Busy Bees Christmas Songs Concert (Further information to be sent out closer to the time)
- Wednesday 14th December – Christmas Party Day (ALL Children are welcome to attend nursery 2pm to 4pm; children to wear party clothes)
- Wednesday 21st December – Christmas Dinner Day (For those children in nursery on Wednesday. Please feel free to send them in Christmas Clothing)
